If you're planning a new website or marketing materials and need a logo, timeline matters. Here's an honest picture of how long the process typically takes — and what affects the pace.
The typical timeline
For most logo projects with NC Digital, the process takes one to two weeks from briefing to final delivery. Here's how that breaks down:
Brief and discovery — We start with a brief: your business, your audience, the look and feel you're aiming for. This is usually a short conversation or a questionnaire. Time: 1–2 days.
Initial concepts — We produce 5 initial logo concepts for you to review. Time: 3–5 working days.
Revisions — You choose a direction and we refine it based on your feedback. One to two rounds of revisions is typical. Time: 2–4 working days.
Final delivery — Once approved, we prepare all file formats and deliver everything. Time: 1 day.
What can slow things down
The biggest variable in any logo project is decision-making time on the client side. If you review concepts quickly and give clear feedback, the process moves fast. If there are multiple decision-makers who need to align, or if the brief changes direction mid-project, timelines extend.
Coming to the project with a clear sense of what you like — even if that's just a collection of other logos you admire — helps keep things moving.
If you need it faster
For genuinely urgent projects, get in touch and explain your timeline. We'll be upfront about whether we can accommodate it.
Combining with a website project
If you're also having a website built, we can often run the logo and website design in parallel — the logo is completed and handed over in time for it to be incorporated into the website design. See our web design service for more on how those projects work together.
