NC Digital Sponsors Merthyr Town FC Academy Goalkeeper Mason

Merthyr Town FC Academy U14 goalkeeper Mason Rocha sponsored by NC Digital

We're really pleased to say that NC Digital is sponsoring Mason Rocha for the 2026/27 season at Merthyr Town FC Academy.

Mason plays in goal for the under-14 side, and he's been with the academy for around two and a half years now. When the chance came up to sponsor him for the coming season, it was an easy yes.

For anyone who hasn't come across us before, NC Digital is a small web design and digital business based in Merthyr Tydfil. We work with businesses here in the town and right across South Wales, building websites and helping them get found online.

Supporting Local Talent in Merthyr Tydfil

Most of what we do day to day is for businesses within a fairly short drive of us, so when something local comes up that we can help with, we'd rather say yes than not.

Youth football costs money to run, and a lot of that lands on families and volunteers. Being able to take a small part of that off someone's plate — and see a local lad get a proper season out of it — is a good use of a bit of our budget. It's not complicated, and there's no grand plan behind it. We just like being involved in things happening on our doorstep.

A Brilliant Season for Mason

Mason has had a season worth talking about.

He was voted Player of the Year at the academy last season, which is a decent thing to have on your CV at any age, let alone at under-14 level. He's also represented Caerphilly District, and on top of that he received a call-up to the Wales National Team programme.

That's a lot to pack into one season for a goalkeeper who's still in his early teens, and it says a fair bit about the work he's put in — and about the coaching he's had along the way.

Supporting Merthyr Town FC Academy

The Merthyr Town FC Academy gives young players in the area somewhere to develop properly, with regular training and matches, rather than having to travel miles to find it.

Something a lot of people don't realise is that the academy is self-funded. It doesn't receive FAW funding, so players are asked to find sponsors to help cover their season. That's why individual player sponsorships matter here — they go towards supporting the academy and the players in it, and they make a genuine difference to whether things can keep running the way they do.

If you run a business locally and you've been wondering about sponsoring a player yourself, it's worth getting in touch with the academy to ask how it works.

NC Digital and the Local Community

We're based in Merthyr Tydfil and most of our clients are small businesses across South Wales — tradespeople, shops, service businesses, the sort of places that need a website that actually brings work in rather than just sitting there.

What we do covers:

  • Web design
  • Website development
  • SEO
  • Website hosting
  • Ongoing website support

If you're a local business looking at web design in Merthyr Tydfil, that page goes through how we work and what's included. There's also more detail on our web design service if you want to see the full picture first.

We've built plenty of sites for businesses within a few miles of Penydarren Park, and being a local business ourselves is a big part of why we do things the way we do. You tend to take more care when you're likely to bump into your clients in town.

Good Luck for the Season

Best of luck to Mason Rocha for the 2026/27 season, and to everyone at Merthyr Town FC Academy — coaches, volunteers and players.

We'll be keeping an eye on how the under-14s get on, and we're glad to be involved.
