What Is Included in a Professional Logo Design Package?

15 May 2026 By Nathan Constance

If you're shopping around for logo design, you'll quickly find that the price varies significantly — and so does what you actually get. Here's what a professional package should include.

The logo itself — in multiple versions

A professional logo design doesn't deliver a single file. It delivers multiple versions of the logo to cover every use case:

  • Full colour version — for use on white or light backgrounds
  • Reversed version — white or light logo for use on dark backgrounds
  • Monochrome version — black and white, for use in single-colour print contexts

Each version should be delivered in appropriate file formats.

All necessary file formats

A complete logo package includes:

  • SVG — vector format, scales to any size without quality loss
  • PNG — with transparent background, for web and digital use
  • PDF — vector format for professional print
  • JPEG — for platforms that require it

If any of these are missing, you'll run into problems when you try to use the logo in different contexts. See our guide to logo file formats for a full explanation.

Brand identity elements

A professional package should include more than just the logo mark. It should also include:

Colour palette — the exact colours used in the logo, specified in hex (for web), RGB (for digital), and CMYK (for print). Without these specifications, colour consistency across different applications is almost impossible.

Typography — the typefaces selected for use alongside the logo, including where each should be used.

Brand guidelines — a brief document explaining how to use all of the above correctly, including spacing requirements, what not to do with the logo, and correct colour applications.

Ownership

You should own the files outright, with no ongoing licensing fees or restrictions. This should be explicitly confirmed before you start.

What NC Digital includes

Our logo design service is £200 and includes everything above — 5 initial concepts, revisions, all versions and file formats, full brand identity, and brand guidelines. You own everything outright on delivery.
